Municipality of Syddjurs

The Municipality of Syddjurs takes cycling seriously. We are a minor municipality, with large ambitions regarding cycling. We have some of the most hilly landscapes of the country called ”Mols Bjerge” (the ”mountains” of Mols), witch is an attraction for a large number of cyclists every year.

We have committed ourselves to establish more than 150 km of bicycle paths over the next decade, in our mobility plan. Some of those kilometers will be a part of ”Østjysk Supercykelsti samarbejde” (Cycle Superhighways in east Jutland).

One of the newest projects we have come up with is placing a number of bicycles out in the “mountains” so our guests have the possibility to lend a bike (it is not mountain bikes, but sustainable city-bikes, with Polka Dots inspired by the mountain jersey from the Tour de France). In that way it is easy and fun to go around in the nature in a sustainable and healthy way.
