Danish Chamber of Commerce
The Danish Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest business organizations in Denmark, representing 18,000 members and more than 100 sector associations. We work to make Denmark the best place in the world to do business by providing expert advice, political influence, and creating favorable conditions for our members. Our members include companies within retail, service, IT, transport, tourism, and health industries.
The Danish Chamber of Commerce – Transport & Infrastructure is a part of the Danish Chamber of Commerce, working to ensure growth and development in the transport and logistics sector. We focus on the main areas: road freight transport and logistics, passenger transport and infrastructure (including aviation, tourist buses, taxis, car rentals, etc.), and micromobility (such as bicycles, light electric vehicles, drones, etc.). Our goal is to create jobs and economic growth, contributing to the cohesion across Denmark. We represent large transport and logistics companies, ports, and maritime businesses, ensuring that the transport sector remains a vital part of the Danish economy.
Political Guidelines for Cycling
The Danish Chamber of Commerce is committed to promoting cycling and micromobility as sustainable and efficient modes of transport. We are actively involved in various initiatives and discussions to improve cycling infrastructure and a strong bicycle industry. Our political guidelines include advocating for a cycle-friendly tax legislation, economic incentives for cycling, and the integration of cycling with other modes of transport. We believe that cycling should be the green, healthy, and easy choice for both short and long distances, and for both commercial and private transport. Our efforts also focus on creating better conditions for cargo bikes and cycle logistics, and other micromobility solutions, which can significantly contribute to reducing congestion and improving urban mobility. Additionally, we aim to make the bicycle the preferred commuting transport option.
