Circular Bicycle Solution for Bike Sharing 

RefurbishBike offers an innovative circular bicycle solution that combines sustainability, technology, and social responsibility. The model focuses on repurposing and upgrading discarded bicycles from urban areas, transforming them into a durable and climate-friendly bike-sharing fleet. By extending the lifecycle of bicycles, the solution significantly reduces waste and resource consumption, resulting in a fleet with up to 120 times lower CO₂ emissions compared to new bicycles.

To provide a modern and user-friendly experience, all bicycles are equipped with LINKA smart locks, allowing users to lock and unlock them via an app. This technology ensures a seamless and secure solution for users while optimizing the operation of the bike-sharing system.

RefurbishBike’s solution goes beyond simply offering bikes. It is an integral part of a connected journey experience that links cycling with public transport. This has already been implemented in Greve and Holbæk, where RefurbishBike has won contracts to deliver solutions enabling users to combine cycling with buses and trains.
